The beginning
Maurice founded the company ‘Garage De Groote’, laying the rock-solid foundations of our business. The garage quickly built an excellent reputation. The pillars then are still the pillars now: pure craftsmanship, absolute customer focus and highly reliable service.
1987
Launch of ‘Breakdown Assistance & Crane Rental De Groote’
The market is evolving, and De Groote is evolving with it. To respond directly to the growing demand for breakdown assistance, recovery and lifting, ‘Depannage en Kraanverhuur De Groote’ is established. With this strategic move, Maurice successfully expands the business.
1995
The second generation steps in
The De Groote children officially join the family business. They bring a fresh wave of new ideas, youthful energy and modern expertise. This gives the company fresh momentum to keep growing and adapt even better to customers’ changing needs.
2023
Farewell to Maurice
The unexpected passing of Maurice De Groote is a heavy blow and an immense loss for his family, the employees and everyone who knew him. As founder, pioneer and the original driving force behind the company, he leaves behind an invaluable legacy.

The takeover by Pascal, Ellen and Tim De Groote
Founded in Ghent by Maurice De Groote. What started as a small business with one crane and a handful of employees quickly grew into a trusted name in the industry.
