When Neowind came to us for the installation of new wind turbines, we knew this would be a major project in every sense.

The challenge: a project on an enormous scale
The request was clear, but the execution was complex: handle the logistics of the separate components to the construction site and take care of the assembly of the wind turbines as well. We faced two major obstacles:
- The size of the components: The mast sections, the turbine and especially the rotor blades are gigantic. Because standard lorries are not sufficient here, a meticulously prepared route for abnormal transport was an absolute requirement.
- The extreme working height: Erecting a wind turbine requires precision work at dozens of metres above the ground, where wind and weather conditions always play a role.
Our solution: heavy equipment and utmost precision
For a challenging project like this, millimetre-precise preparation is essential. We therefore split the operation into two phases:
- Exceptional transport to the construction site
With our specialist vehicles for abnormal transport, we delivered the huge components safely to site. Thanks to meticulously planned and escorted routes, we ensured smooth and damage-free delivery. - Assembly at height with heavy lifting cranes
On site, we deploy our most powerful lifting cranes for the heavy work. Our experienced team managed to lift the tower sections, the nacelle and finally the blades to great height in a controlled manner and assemble them safely.
